If we observe ourselves objectively and deeply-
We will discover three startling phenomena:
1/ This idea we call “our self” is constantly changing –
Nothing stable, static and unchanging that we can call the self.
Question – what is that unchanging part of us that we call our SELF?
2/ This idea we call “our-self” is purely relational –
A set of interactions taking place between our body-mind and nature.
We circle some part of that and call it our ‘self’.
Question – what is that absolute SELF that we refer to beyond the interactions?
3/ This idea we call “our-self” is non-matter and empty –
Microscopically zooming into any part of our body,
We will reach a subatomic space which is empty.
And cannot be purely defined as matter.
Question – what in this spectrum of zooming from matter to non-matter do we call our SELF?
Wisdom is –
To meditate on the question-
What is my true self?
