Two Worlds

There are two worlds we live in – One governed by the laws of math and science. A second that is a projection of our mind – Religions, beliefs, nations, values, concepts. Both are real in their ways. One world is objective. One world is subjective. To improve one world – We must change the facts. To improve another world – We must change the story in our heads. Stories Change. Facts rarely change. Wisdom Is – To know the difference between fact and story. And honor both worlds.

Blue-Tinted Glasses

Everything the mind knows is filtered through its own limits. Just as everything appears blue when we are wearing blue-tinted glasses.  Once we are accustomed to the blue glasses, blue becomes the new norm. Most Difficult Thing To See

The most difficult thing to see – That which is obvious.  That… We are the process of nature naturing itself. We are not the end of evolution. We have created the concept of Time. We created stories called countries, beliefs… Search for happiness comes in the way of finding it. Morality is a manufactured concept. The unconscious in us takes most of the decisions. Sign Vs. Symbol

Sign Vs. Symbol Stop, Start, Move – are traffic signs. So are the ones that go up on doors, construction sights, the road bends… Danger, No-Smoking, Do Not Enter, Slow, Bend Ahead… The Cross, on the other hand, is a symbol. So is the lotus, crescent moon, swastika, Nike swoosh, Vulcan salute. Both are simple images, and yet they are dramatically different. The goal of a sign is literal – to communicate an instruction, unambiguously. The Symbol, on the other hand, is a communicator of ‘meaning’. Meaning – that is deep, cryptic, symbolic and also difficult to interpret. We should

What Is Your Mission?

What Is Your Mission? Elon Musk wants to put humans on Mars. Mother Teresa wanted to care for those who were unwanted, unloved, uncared for by society. James Allison wanted to find a cure for cancer through the human immune system. World Food Program wants to end hunger and achieve food security in the world. Lee Kuan Yew wanted to build a developed, first world country, from scratch. My dad, a doctor, wanted to reduce the incidence of malaria in a small rural town in India. The word ‘want’ can be your wish. Or it can be your ‘mission’. A
