Opposite of -Play

Imagine a billiards championship where two people reached the finals – Father and Son. There could be many permutations of that idea – Mother-daughter, sister-sister, friend-friend…. Second Awareness

The monkey mind interacts with these all the time. The second awareness is the awareness of Thoughts, feelings, sensations, perceptions- As they show up. Blue-Tinted Glasses

Everything the mind knows is filtered through its own limits. Just as everything appears blue when we are wearing blue-tinted glasses.  Once we are accustomed to the blue glasses, blue becomes the new norm. We assume that to be objective reality, which it is not. Where do we get the blue tint? Genetics, evolutionary Biology, social Conditioning, childhood experiences, memories and imprints. The highest knowledge we can get – Knowledge of the ‘tint’ of our own mind. Self Awareness is- Awareness of the colour of our glasses. Compassion is – Awareness of the colour of others’ glasses.
